How do I place an advertisement?

Select "Post an item" at the top left of the screen, then just fill in the details of your ad and submit it. Remember not to put personal details in the advertisement unless you want them to be visible to everyone. When you submit an advert it needs to be approved by the shop before it is displayed. You'll be notified when it is accepted.

Viewing and responding to Ads

You can view ads in any shop without being logged in. You can contact an advertiser without logging in, however your email address will then be shown to the advertiser. If you are logged in, your email address will not be shown to the advertiser.

Searching for items

You can search the advertisements in a shop using the search button. Searching for items in a shop will match items posted in that shop and items that are displayed in that shop by sharing.

You can also search for items that are in other shops and groups by using the "Search other shops" link that is shown with search results.

Why can't I edit my advertisement?

Once you've submitted an advertisement you cannot edit it. The reason is that once an ad is approved it can't be changed (otherwise the changed version would require to be approved again). If you want to change an ad you'll need to delete the original and submit a new one which will need to be approved before being displayed in the shop.

Why do I have A Cobini Account, not a Shop Account?

When you sign up you create a Cobini Account which gives you a Cobini-wide login. If you are logged in you can go to any shop in Cobini and post an advertisement, respond to ads, make a shop, etc. We assign you a default shop when you sign up. Your default shop is either the shop that you signed up from, or the first shop you visit after you've signed up, and you can change your default shop at any time. You default shop is simply the shop that you'll be taken to if you click on a link in a notification email that we send you, for example if someone contacts you in relation to an advertisement that you've posted.
